Did it MY way. (Rim)

I try to live without regrets;
I never gamble but take certain bets.
The unforetold day of coincidence we met,
waiting for the red sun to set.
I gamble in life to live,
even if sometimes the gain has nothing to give.


The passionate embrace of two lovers,
nothing more than lust governs.
Even though we come from different worlds,
even though we were bad at keeping oaths.
We had a special kind of bond,
of which we were fond.


A symbiosis beyond my comprehension,
with such a strong affection.
You saw through my plate-mail,
as though it was a silken veil.
Pierced my shields and defenses,
with your eyes and sweet embraces.


Together we fought the world and won,
but I was such a moron.
My own arrogance was my fall;
no words can describe it all.
Too blind to see too deaf to hear;
I became more than you could bear.


But I took the bet at my own will,
and it all was a thrill.
I do not regret my decision or choice,
so that I was able to hear your voice.
See you eyes and hold you in my arms,
safe from the everyday harms.


Even if it brought me so much pain,
the life-lesson I have gained.

I can stand proud and say…
