Skev dröm
(kopierat från min Facebook, så stå ut med Engelskan!)
I had a strange dream tonight.
I was in command of a ship sailing across the sea at night. There was a huge storm surrounding us with thundering skies and waves crashing against the ship. The further we went into the storm, the more everyone started to think we wouldn't make it across the sea.
One after another, I watched crew members get swallowed by the rising waves. One after another they drowned, until only a handful of us remained on deck. Among us there was a commander, a gunner and 3-4 sailors. As the heavy rain continued, the crew realised we wouldn't survive the storm.
The gunner shot the commander and jumped into the ocean. Shocked by this, the rest of the sailor just dropped dead on deck. I was now alone on deck, riding the storm by myself.
Treading over the fallen bodies, I managed to get myself over to the steering wheel. As I stood there, watching the crew lying dead, feeling the storm tear the ship down piece by piece and seeing the lightning strike down in the ocean over and over, I suddenly sensed a rush through my body. It was unlike anything I've felt in real life.
I turned the steering wheel a few times and the ship started moving at impossible speed.
It all turned black, only for a few seconds.
I opened my eyes and I had reached land. I stood on a tropical shore, next to what used to be our ship, now only wrecked remains. The bodies of our crew floating by the ship. Further down the shore, I could see more wrecked ships with even more bodies floating.
I looked away from the sea, scanning the land that lay ahead. There were three different sets of foot prints, all matching my own feet in size and shape, all leading from the shore into the land. I aligned my foot to one of the prints, it matched perfectly. And so I started walking.
Then I woke up.
